Cambridge Starts Slow, Finishes Fast To Advance

Thru the first four minutes of Friday night’s MPSSAA 1A East playoffs, the third seeded Cambridge South Dorchester Vikings scored just two points against the sixth seeded Mardela Warriors.

A 10-6 lead after one quarter from Mardela would be gone by the half, as Cambridge would go on a run and take a 22-17 lead into the locker rooms. Cambridge would score 29 points over the final two quarters to drop Mardela 51-36.

The win pushes Cambridge to the Section II semifinal, where they will face the winner of Washington vs. Crisfield, who tip off Saturday, February 28th at noon.
