C.O.A.D to host fundraiser for Keisha Hamilton’s children

The community support continues for the family of a missing Smyrna woman.

On Friday, the Correctional Officers Of Delaware will host a “song and dance” night for Keisha Hamilton, a mother of four last seen on January 9th. The fundraiser will take place at the COAD office in Dover. They’re asking anyone who comes to donate $10.00.

All of the proceeds are going to Keisha’s children. She has four children and two of those two children were also reported missing, but they were later found in Indiana with their father who is prison facing child endangerment charges.

We’re told the children are currently in custody of Keisha’s sister. Glenenise Parks, a correctional officer, says she’s happy to help in any way.

“She has four children…I have four children, and I know that if something were to happen to me, my biggest concern would be my kids and I’m sure that’s what Keisha would want right now, is for everyone to get together and help her kids through this transition.” Says Parks.

We spoke to Delaware State Police on Thursday. According to Sergeant Richard Bratz, a Gold Alert is still in effect for Keisha Hamilton.
