Bucs Earn Second Win Of Season Against Saints

The Kent Island High School boy’s basketball team traveled to St. Michael’s on Monday night, earning its second win of the season, downing the Saints, 77-47. With the victory, the Buccaneers move to 2-13 for the season.

Although the Bucs jumped out to an early 19-9 lead after the first quarter, the Saints fought back in the second on the back of Jake Tollett and TyReice Wilson, who cashed in on 12 of the team’s 19 points that put St. Michael’s down just one at the half, 27-26.

Kent Island came out hot in the second half, outscoring the Saints, 55-26, led by a game-high 29 points by Zach Goodrich.

The Bucs are back in action tomorrow night, heading to North Dorchester for a 6:30 p.m., start. St. Michael’s travel to Cambridge South Dorchest tomorrow for its next game with tipoff set for 5 p.m.
