Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans preview
The Baltimore Ravens (9-5) and Houston Texans (7-7) face off tomorrow afternoon in a game that could help decide the Ravens playoff destiny. The Ravens lead the all-time series against the Texans 7-1, which are the odds Baltimore fans are looking for around playoff contention time.
Baltimore can secure their playoff birth by winning out this season in games against the Texans and the Browns; however, without both wins, the Ravens can still find their way into the playoffs. The Ravens can clinch a playoff spot with a win and losses by AFC North rivals the Bengals and Steelers, a win and a loss or tie by Kansas City and San Diego or a tie with the Texans and losses by Kansas City, San Diego and Buffalo. The AFC North title race is still alive and the AFC Wildcard sixth spot is still open for the taking as well.
According to the teams match ups in previous years, Baltimore has the upper hand and has not had issues shutting down some of the Texans biggest weapons. In 2013, the Ravens defeated the Texans 30-9 and held JJ Watt to only one sack that game, which came on an eight yard tackle for loss on Joe Flacco.
If the Ravens defense can stop Arian Foster, Joe Flacco has the tools to lead the offense to a victory and a playoff birth.
