Apparent victims fight back during attempted robbery in Salisbury

Police in Salisbury say they have arrested a man, after he apparently assaulted two people at knifepoint.
Salisbury Police say on Wednesday, just after 2:00 PM, Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery on Calvert Street and Poplar Hill Avenue. Two people were reportedly walking on Calvert Street, from the Wicomico County Multi-Service building on Baptist Street, to their car.
An investigation reportedly showed that while they were walking, the two people were approached by a man holding a knife, who then said “I want your money.” Police say the two victims refused to give the suspect any money, and started to wrestle with the suspect in an attempt to get the knife away from him.
At this point, Detectives from the Child Advocacy Center made their way outside, after learning that the victims were shouting for help, and intervened. The suspect, 39-year-old Victor Insley, of Salisbury, was immediately arrested. There were reportedly no injuries in the incident.
Insley was charged with attempted robbery, assault 1st and 2nd degree, wear and carry a dangerous weapons.
