$500 million Powerball jackpot has Delawareans testing their luck

Delawareans are not wasting any time to enter Wednesday night’s Powerball jackpot drawing, which is reportedly the third-largest jackpot ever.
Lottery officials say Wednesday’s prize increased to $500 million dollars with a $337.8 million cash option.
The increase comes after no one bought a winning ticket for Saturday’s drawing.
According to the Felton Royal Farms, which has had customers coming in for tickets as early as 5:30 AM, Delawareans are feeling lucky.
“It’s been exciting, everybody’s buying tickets, it’s been non-stop,” says Ozell Allen, an employee at the Royal Farms. “With the lottery being up to $500 million, it’s a great opportunity.”
“Hopefully I’ll hit it rich so I can buy all I want to buy,” says Susan Vannier, a Delaware resident.
It has been nearly one year since a Powerball prize topped $400 million. The chance of winning is about one in 175 million.
