UPDATE: Information sought in Millsboro double murder, one year later

Police in Millsboro have re-released information, one year after a double murder in the town, in hopes of drumming up new leads.

Delaware State Police say Homicide Detectives are still looking into the murders of 27-year-old William Hopkins, and 29-year-old Cletis Nelson, who were both found dead inside a Harmons Hill Road home, on January 14th, 2014. According to the report, that morning just after 1:00 AM, Troopers responded to the home, after a concerned family member of Nelson couldn’t get in touch with him.

The family member apparently went into the house, where they then found Hopkins and Nelson dead, and contacted Police. The investigation reportedly found that there was no forced entry into the home, and have no suspect information. The deaths of Hopkins and Nelson have since been ruled as a double homicide, with both suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit says they are continuing to investigate the incident, and are asking anyone who may have information to contact Detective Fred Chambers at 302-388-0196 or Delaware Crime Stoppers 1-800-TIP-3333.

Crime Stoppers is offering cash rewards up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of criminals and fugitives. Tips can also be sent through the Tip Submit website, or by texting 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword “DSP.”
