UPDATE: Dover bar assault suspect arrested

A man has been arrested, after Police reportedly linked him to a violent bar assault.
Dover Police say on Saturday night, just before 1:00 AM, Officers were called to Irish Mike’s on West Loockerman Street for reports of a fight and assault. Once on scene, they reportedly found a 28-year-old bleeding from the face.
Police say they spoke with several witnesses, who said that 29-year-old Joshua Fosmire had assaulted the victim after a fight started in the bar’s restroom. Fosmire had apparently fled before Police arrived.
Dover Police say they have now arrested 29-year-old Joshua Fosmire, on warrants for assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct charges.
The victim was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, where they were treated for facial fractures and lacerations from the assault. Police say there was also $750 worth of damages done to the bathroom, after a sink was torn from the wall.
Fosmire is now being held on bond at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.
