UPDATE: Delaware fugitive reportedly involved in barricade situation in VA

A Delaware fugitive is now reportedly dead following a barricade situation at a motel in Virginia on Wednesday.

According to ABC Affiliate WVEC, the man was found unconscious in the room and was not harmed by the SWAT team.

Officials have still not released the man’s identity, but reports say he is wanted in Delaware on rape charges.

WVEC reported a man was carried out of the motel room and placed in an ambulance, officials at the scene say no one else was in the hotel room.

47 ABC has reached out to Delaware State Police and the Delaware Department of Justice who say they have not heard anything about this ongoing situation.
