Two Delaware men charged with cashing fake checks

Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help to find two men who were able to successfully cash counterfeit checks at two Dover area banks.

Police say they were contacted by M & T Bank personnel who advised them that Roger T. Boyce, 44, and Barry Simmons, 57, cashed four separate counterfeit checks totaling over $4000.00 on November 18, 2014.

Detectives obtained warrants charging Simmons and Boyce with four counts of Forgery 2nd degree, four counts of Theft, and conspiracy. Efforts to locate Simmons and Boyce, who are possibly homeless in either Kent or New Castle County, have been unsuccessful up to this point.

Roger T. Boyce is described as 6’0″ tall, weighs approximately 195 lbs, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Barry Simmons is described as 5’10” tall, and 160 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.
