Traffic stop in Harrington apparently leads Police to suspect’s private stash

A Millsboro man who was arrested on a warrant is facing additional charges, after Police say they found drugs in his groin.

Harrington Police say on Friday an Officer stopped a vehicle on South DuPont Highway, for a traffic violation. During the stop, the Officer found that the driver had a revoked license, and that the passenger, 20-year-old Michael Kelsall, was wanted on an active capias out of Sussex County Superior Court.

The driver of the vehicle was then apparently given a traffic summons, and released. Kelsall was then taken into custody, and brought to the police department for processing.

According to the report, while Officers were processing Kelsall, he told them that he had a baggie of marijuana taped to his private parts.

Police say they recovered the drugs, and paraphernalia, and gave Kelsall a criminal summons for possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kelsall is now being held at the Sussex Correctional Institute on $5,000 cash only bail.
