Sussex Central Falls To Seaford

The Seaford Blue Jays hosted the Sussex Central Golden Knights on Thursday evening in Seaford.

The game started out with Seaford taking a 17 to 10 advantage after one quarter of play. Seaford center Rahim Smith helped lead his team to victory and did extremely well in the first half of the game.

The second-quarter Sussex Central started to chip their way back into the game and eventually got the game tied up at 19, but the Blue Jays would not let the Golden Knights get to close making it a five point game heading to half.

Seaford executed a lot of great passing and kept the ball moving around the Central’s defense and you could tell the Golden Knight’s coach was not particularly happy. Central began to control their own fate with the ball move the ball around, and played good defense in the second quarter allowing to get themselves back in the game and not letting Seaford extend the lead too far after the first quarter.

The game was close up till the very end when Seaford finished off the game with a 54-53 victory. Rahim Smith capped off the night with 20 points.
