Shooting under investigation by Salisbury PD

Authorities are investigating a shooting in Salisbury.

According to Police, officers were responding to a separate incident on Naylor Street and East Church Street on the night of December 27th, when they heard a gunshot nearby.

Police say they searched the area and eventually found a man lying on the road on Naylor Street. Officers say as they approached him, he fled the scene. According to reports, a loaded handgun was located nearby, but police were not able to find the man.

Police say no injuries were reported, but a car driving through the area was struck by a bullet.
