Second arson at Salisbury playgound, under investigation

A second arson at a Salisbury playgound, within the same amount of months, is leading investigators to ask for the public’s help.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the flames started around 5:00 PM on Monday, at the Doverdale Playgound on Johnson Street. Authorities say the flames started with a pile of leaves on a metal trash can lid.
A passerby apparently discovered the fire, and contacted the Salisbury 16 fire department. Three firefighters responded, and reportedly had the blaze under control in 5 minutes.
Investigators have ruled the fire as arson, and say this is the second fire in this area in the last two months. Anyone with information about these fires are asked to contact the Salisbury Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office at 410-713-3780.
