Seaford Glides Past Lake Forest

Seaford took on Lake Forest at home on Friday night and the crowd was ready to see the Blue Jays get a big win over the Spartans.

Seaford found a way to get their offense going despite some of the calls and put points on the board. On the other side of the court, fouls were being called on Cameron Lewis, who had created a lot of offense for Lake Forest, was put on the bench because of early foul trouble.

In the second quarter, the Blue Jays began to start putting things together and their offense showed what they can do. Rahim Smith did what he has been doing so well all season – he was rebounding, scoring points, and blocking shots for his team.

Just before halftime, Jared Hopkins got his team with a five point lead heading into the second half with a buzzer beater three pointer. With this lead, Seaford would go on to take the game scoring 43 points in the second half out scoring the Spartans and taking the win, 78-71.
