Pocomoke Hands Parkside First Loss of Season

The Pocomoke High School boy’s basketball team overcame a second-half deficit to hand Parkside its first loss of the season, 83-69. The Warriors and Rams both sit at 8-1 this season.

Pocomoke had the early 15-4 advantage through the first four minutes of the game, but Parkside fought back to take a 33-26 lead into the half. That didn’t slow down the Warriors, coming out strong in the third quarter with a 16-4 run. Once the lead was taken late in the third quarter, Pocomoke never looked back, claiming the 83-69 victory.

Pocomoke’s Dajour Mills led all scorers with 32 points, while Juwan Williams for Parkside dropped in 19 points to lead the Rams.

Parkside travels to Stephen Decatur for its next game, while Pocomoke welcomes Snow Hill to its home court. Both games are set for Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
