Millsboro man arrested on forgery charges at Milford restaurant

A Millsboro man is behind bars, after he reportedly used counterfeit cash at a local restaurant.

Milford Police say on January 2nd, 29-year-old Isaiah Fields went into Grotto Pizza Restaurant in Milford, and used a counterfeit $100 bill to buy food. The restaurant later discovered the bill was fake, and reported the incident to Police.

On January 5th, Fields apparently returned to the eatery, and tried again to use a $100 counterfeit bill to pay for his order. The restaurant contacted Police, who responded, and took Fields into custody.

He was then charged with forgery 1st degree, attempted forgery 1st degree, theft by false pretense under $1,500. Fields, who was also wanted on an active capias, is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $7,000 bond.
