Mardela Girls Stay Perfect, Take Down North Dorchester
The Mardela girls basketball team remained undefeated on the year after they took down North Dorchester 75-19. The win improves the Warriors to 10-0, while the loss drops the Eagles to 0-11.
The Warriors would jump out to a quick lead after Demyra Selby would get out into the open court and convert lay in after lay in. After she got going, the rest of her team would follow. Taylor Ross would find the shooting touch, and so would Dymond Trader. The lead would grow to over 40 points by half time, and the team never looked back. To their credit, the Eagles never gave in and continued to play hard, regardless the scoreboard.
Mardela returns to action Tuesday when they host Stephen Decatur, while North Dorchester returns to action next Thursday when they travel to Queen Anne’s.
