Laurel Cruises To Victory Over Holly Grove

The Laurel boys basketball team jumped out to an early lead, and held on, topping the Holly Grove Eagles 74-55 Tuesday night.

Despite a dozen missed lay-ups by the half, the Bulldogs led 42-27 at the break. Laurel used a full-court press to create turnovers and cause the Eagles havoc in the half court.

For Laurel, Desmond Parker finished with a game-high 18 points, while teammate Gary Warren finished with 14. For Holly Grove, Alan Perkins and Nick Powell had 15 points apiece.

Laurel goes on the road for a big-time Henlopen matchup when they play Milford Tuesday.
