Lake Forest Gets First Win Of The Season, Knocking Off Seaford

The Lake Forest Spartans fought all game long, and earned their first win 61-56 over Seaford.

The Spartans jumped out to a 16-13 lead after the first quarter, with Dominique Griffith scoring 6 in the first frame. Lake would go on to grab a 32-26 lead after the first half. Seaford would come out strong in the third, outscoring the Spartans 19-12, including 9 by Jared Hopkins.

The Blue Jays took a one point lead going into the fourth, but Lake wouldn’t go away.Six players contributed to the scoreboard in the fourth for the Spartans, as Griffith hit a three with under 1 minute to play to give Lake a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

Seaford is back in action Thursday when they host Sussex Central, while Lake travels to St. Thomas More Monday.
