Labinal Power Systems closing Salisbury plant

Labinal Power Systems in Salisbury is closing its doors, costing Delmarva hundreds of jobs.
According to a release sent out by Labinal Power Systems, the plan is to transfer operations from their Salisbury plant to its Denton, Texas location. The Salisbury plant will reportedly close by the end of 2016.
The transition process, will begin in May of this year. Officials say employees at the Salisbury location will receive transition packages along with job training support and other transition-related assistance. According to the release, this transfer will bring more jobs to the Denton plant.
This news comes after Sentator Barbara Mikulski announced funding last month to keep manufacturing jobs in Salisbury.
