Information sought on suspect in Millsboro purse nabbing

Police in Millsboro are looking to identify a man who reportedly stole a purse at a local grocery store.

Millsboro Police say around 4:30 PM on Thursday, Officers responded to the Food Lion on DuPont Highway, where a victim had had her purse stolen. According to the report, the woman had become distracted while shopping, during which her purse was taken from her shopping cart.

An investigation led Police to locate the man on surveillance footage, after he apparently tried to use the victim’s bank cards at another area business. Police say they are now working on identifying the suspect.
