Information sought on apparent shots fired in Dover

State Police say they are investigating reports of shots being fired overnight, in Dover.

Delaware State Police say on Wednesday just after 9:50 PM, Troopers responded to North Taylor Drive, where the 55-year-old homeowner told them that she had been in her bedroom, when she heard gunfire outside. According to the report, the woman was home alone at the time, and dropped to the floor.

She reportedly told Police that while taking cover, she continued to hear what sounded like bullets hitting her front door. Police say they found several bullet holes in the house, but that none had hit the bedroom where the homeowner was.

The woman was reportedly not injured in the incident. Police say they have no suspect information at this time.
