Information sought after shooting in Grasonville

A man is recovering after he was reportedly shot in the neck in Queen Anne’s County.

The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office says around 11:30 PM on Thursday, Deputies responded to the Emergency Room in Grasonville for a shooting victim. Once at the ER, a witness told Deputies that he and the victim, were in a car on Grasonville Cemetery Road near White House Lane, looking at Facebook, when someone started shooting.

The driver side window of the vehicle was reportedly shattered after the shots. Once the two realized that the victim had been shot, they drove to the ER, before he was air-lifted to Shock Trauma. The victim was apparently hit in the neck, and suffered neck and shoulder injuries. Investigators say the victim is listed in stable condition at Shock Trauma, and they are attempting to interview him for more information.

Detectives say they are still working to figure out where the shots came from, and who the shooter may be. Investigators on scene have gathered evidence and went door-to-door looking for witnesses.
