Georgetown woman arrested on sixth DUI charge

A Georgetown woman is behind bars, after being reportedly charged with her sixth driving under the influence charge.
Delaware State Police say around 9:30 PM on Thursday, a Trooper watched a red Chevrolet Trailblazer stop on Donovans Road near North Bedford Street, then accelerate quickly, spinning the tires. The Trooper then stopped the vehicle in a private driveway nearby.
During the stop the Trooper reportedly smelled alcohol on the driver, 34-year-old Ginger Velasquez. After a DUI investigation, Velazquez was arrested, and charged with six offense driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while suspended or revoked, and spinning tires.
Velazquez reportedly has five other DUI convictions, including two in September 2011 and one in February 2012. Velasquez is now being held at Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $5,600 cash bond.
