Frankford father and son arrested on drug and gun charges

A Frankford father and son are behind bars and facing a number of gun and drug charges, following an investigation into a residential burglary.
 
Elijah Foreman Jr., 23, was arrested on Friday in connection to a burglary that occurred this past Wednesday. Police say Foreman was suspected of stealing a handgun from a home in the Ocean View Area. During a pat down search, authorities say they found him to be in possession of the loaded .380 caliber Ruger handgun reported stolen in the burglary, along with over $2,800 in suspected drug sale proceeds. While searching his vehicles, police say they found 11 grams of crack cocaine, .5 grams of marijuana, ammunition, ten dosage units of counterfeit heroin, and drug paraphernalia.
 
Detectives, with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, then responded to Foreman’s home located in the 28000 block of Blueberry Lane in Frankford, where they came into contact with his father Elijah Foreman, Sr., 45. While searching the home, police say they located numerous items of drug paraphernalia, 120 dosage units of counterfeit heroin, over 42 grams of crack cocaine, and over 15 grams of powder cocaine. According to authorities, over $30,000 in suspected drug proceeds were also found.
 
Elijah Foreman, Jr. was charged with Receiving a Stolen Firearm, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Powder Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Counterfeit Heroin, 3 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Violation of Probation. He has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute for lack of $75,000.00 secured bond.
 
Elijah Foreman, Sr. faces charges including Possession with the Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 5 Quantity, and Possession of Drug paraphernalia. He has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $20,250 secured bond.
