Dover, Seaford, and Wilmington to get upgrades from DDD Grant Program

Three Delaware cities may be getting a facelift as a part of the Downtown Developmental Districts Grant Program.

According to the Delaware State Housing Authority, Dover, Seaford, and Wilmington will receive upgrades in the initiative, which currently has 7 million dollars available.

The money will reportedly help with the restoration, expansion, and new construction of buildings for industrial, residential, and mixed used purposes.

Delaware Governor Jack Markell issued the following statement on the program, saying:

“Downtown Development Districts will spur private capital investment in commercial business districts, stimulate job growth, help build a stable community of long term residents by improving housing opportunities, and strengthen our neighborhoods.”
