Decatur Boys Snap Skid With Win Over Crisfield

The Stephen Decatur boys basketball team snapped their losing skid Monday night when they defeated Crisfield 72-27. The win improves the Seahawks to 5-7, while the loss drops the Crabbers to 3-9.

The Seahawks would jump out to the early lead led by Tyree Henry. Decatur’s big was doing a great job moving without the ball to fill open spaces on the floor, knock down mid range jumpers and attacking the glass for early offense. The Crabbers though hung tough at first, fighting off the pressure and were able to create a few good looks which they would knock down. Down just 13 in the second quarter, it looked like Crisfield might keep this one close throughout. But the Seahawks were just getting started and really found their defensive presence to open up the game. The lead continued to grow as Decatur was able to put this one away for the win.

Decatur returns to action Friday when they travel to play at Pocomoke, while Crisfield returns to the court Tuesday when they travel to Mardela.
