CR Pulls Away From Cape In OT

Caesar Rodney improved to 7-7 on the year with a 47-41 overtime win over Cape Henlopen.

The teams were tied at 5 after one quarter, but Cape would take a 15-12 lead into the locker room at half. In the third, CR came out and held a 2 point lead when the quarter was over. Both teams would be tied at 33 at the end of regulation.

In the overtime, CR would explode for 14 points. They were led by Jaquan Hooks game-high 19 points, while freshman Davione Robinson added 16 in the win. For Cape, senior Jordan Howell scored a team-high 10 points.

The Riders will look to go over .500 when they travel to take on St. Mark’s on Tuesday, while Cape travels to Seaford on the same day.
