Brittingham’s Career-High Pushes Wi-Hi Past North Dorchester

The Wicomico boys basketball team wasted no time, jumping out to a 16 point lead in the first eight minutes, en route to crushing North Dorchester 90-70 Friday night in Hurlock.

Jordan Brittingham provided the hot start for Wi-Hi, knocking down two triples and finishing with 18 points in the first quarter. “We had two players out Nelson (Brown) and Trevell (Jones), and I felt like I needed to step up for us to get the win,” said the junior forward. In the second quarter, point guard Torrey Brittingham took over, dishing out a number of assists and scoring six points in the quarter to give the Indians a 17-point lead (46-29) into the break.

The third would be much of the same as the Indians came out again on fire. Jordan Brittingham had eight more points in the quarter and one in the fourth, giving him a career-high 27 points on the night. “I struggled last night (vs. J.M. Bennett) tonight I came out and shots were just falling.” Brittingham was not the only player for Wi-Hi with a career high, junior guard Corey Jones also pushed out a career-high 15 points.

For North Dorchester, DaJon Pittman had a team-high 23 points, DaJuan Malone and Andre Barham each scored 15.
