Bennett Thumps New Look Crisfield

The James M. Bennett boys basketball team defeated Crisfield Thursday night 93-33. The win improves the Clippers to 7-6, while the loss drops the Crabbers to 3-8.

Crisfield took the court for the first time since the suspensions were handed down to their previous 7 varsity players. The squad that took the the court Thursday had previously been the junior varsity squad, and were forced into the role of varsity players, playing in a hostile environment on the road. The Clippers jumped out to a quick lead, led by Jorden Duffy who would finish with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. The Crabbers would battle, but were ultimately outmatched.

Bennett returns to action Tuesday when they host Washington while the Crabbers return to the court Monday when they travel to play at Stephen Decatur.
