Bennett Middle School “on track” to open in August 2015

The new Bennett Middle School project in Fruitland appears on track to welcome students this August.

“The construction project will be finished as scheduled within the next few months, and we will begin preparing the school to welcome its first students at the end of the summer.” according to Superintendent Dr. John Fredericksen.

The 161,000 square-foot school is designed to serve 988 students between 6th and 8th grades. According to school officials, a main priority of the project at this point is to focus on interior details.

The project is reportedly being managed by Whiting Turner.

We’re also told the final phase for the James M. Bennett High School project is underway, which will involve the demolishing the old Bennett Middle.
