Bennett Girls Basketball Win Rematch Vs. Crisfield

The James M. Bennett girls basketball team defeated Crisfield 54-38. The win improves the Clippers to 2-9, while the loss drops the Crabbers to 5-9.

Bennett would jump out to the early lead after Alison Todd and Monay Watson found their groove offensively. Both would score in transition as well as show the patience to work the ball around and run the offense in the half court to help Bennett take a 17-6 lead after the first quarter. The Crabbers would come charging back in the second though led by Arielle Johnston. Her hot shooting would keep it close but it wasn’t enough as the Clippers would close the door for the win.

Crisfield returns to action Monday when they travel to play at Stephen Decatur, while Bennett returns to the court Friday when they travel to play North Dorchester.
