Barricade situation resolved in Somerset County

A barricade situation is now resolved in Somerset County.

On Thursday morning, Maryland State Police responded to Alfred Johnson Lane in Marion Station for a complaint of a gun being fired in a house. Reports say Glenda Evans had been involved in a domestic verbal dispute and allegedly fired the gun.

When troopers tried to make contact with Evans, she reportedly locked herself in the house and refused to speak to police. No one else was in the house at the time.

Police say around 11:30 AM Thursday morning, Evans agreed to come out of the house, and she was taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.

Maryland State Police say Evans was taken to the hospital for further mental evaluation. She has not been arrested yet, but police say charges are pending.
