Atlantic General Hospital Hosts 21st Annual Penguin Swim

Atlantic General Hospital held its 21st annual Penguin Swim in Ocean City on Thursday, drawing hundreds of eager participants to the Atlantic Ocean.

Folks kicked off the new year by taking a dip in the Atlantic earlier Thursday afternoon. All of the donations are going towards the hospital’s foundation, and the swim draws participants for all over Maryland and the United States.

47 ABC spoke to one participating visiting from Baltimore.

“Oh my god, it’s…painful. It’s cold and painful.” Billy DePaola jokingly explained.

No word yet on exactly how much was raised today.
