Addressing Wicomico “fiscal inequalities” may be far off

Mayor Jim Ireton’s plans for addressing fiscal inequalities for Salisbury residents may not happen anytime soon.

Wicomico County Executive, Bob Culver. says he has extensively looked at the proposal, which includes changing the county’s fire service agreement and eliminating county property tax rates for Salisbury, Delmar, and Fruitland residents.

However, he says he still needs to do the number crunching and have his finance department look over it. With all of the different steps, he says any changes probably will not happen this year.
