Accomack man charged: inadequate care of dogs

According to Sheriff Todd Godwin, 75-year-old Robert Harvey was charged with 15 counts of failure to provide adequate care, and 15 counts of failure to display a license tag for the dogs recovered on Bayside Road.

As of Monday, a total of 16 dogs have been recovered, one of which was found already dead.  

Sheriff Godwin tells 47 ABC the charges are a class four misdemeanor offense.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges could be forthcoming.
