WiHi Boys Basketball Comeback Falls Short Vs. St. Marie Goretti

Wicomico Boys Basketball fell Friday afternoon to Saint Marie Goretti 58-51. The Indians comeback in the fourth got them to within 3, but they could never get back over the hump.

Torrey Brittingham would give the Indians a spark early on, pushing the ball up the court and either finishing at the rack, or dumping off to a teammate for an easy finish. Still, the Indians struggled with the size and length of the Gaels, and would find themselves in a whole the second half. Down 9 late, Nelson Brown would score 4 straight points to cut into the deficit, followed by a nice reverse move baseline by Lionel Batson. But the Gaels would make the plays down the stretch to close it out for the win.
