UPDATE: Stolen vehicle found, sexual assault suspect still at large

Police in Georgetown say they have found a car that was stolen during a sexual assault, but the suspect is still missing.

Georgetown Police say they have located the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe in Dover, but the suspect, 30-year-old Jawan Colson was not found. Colson is accused of tying up and gagging a woman, before sexually assaulting her on December 19th. Colson then reportedly fled in the victim’s Tahoe.

Colson is now reportedly wanted on rape 1st degree, two counts of rape 2nd degree, strangulation, unlawful imprisonment 1st degree, theft of a motor vehicle, unlawful sexual contact 3rd degree, and two counts of theft under $1,500.

Police say Colson told the victim that he was going to get a gun, and was not going to jail. Anyone with information about Colson’s whereabouts is asked to contact 911, and not approach him, as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.
