Seaford Tops Nandua To Win Bracket III Title

The Seaford Blue Jays came out strong in the first quarter, and cruised on their way to a 55-40 win over Nandua to take the Bracket III title of the Governors Challenge Saturday afternoon.

Seaford stymied Nandua, holding the Warriors to just 7 made field goals in the first half, and just 6 in the second. The Blue Jays also out-rebounded the Warriors 24-19.

Three players reached double figures in points for Seaford, the Blue Jays were led by Rahiem Smith (19 points, 8 rebounds), Andrez Jones (14 points, 2 steals), and Kenyock Matthews (12 points, 2 assists). For Nandua, Troy Planter was their leading scorer with 14.
