One arrested in Milford burglary string, more sought

Police in Milford have arrested a Pennsylvania man, in connection to a series of burglaries.
Milford Police say on December 5th, Officers found 23-year-old Wayne Waltman, a suspect in several burglaries in the area. According to the report, while he was in custody, another burglary was reported, and Police found the stolen items in Waltman’s possession. All of the items taken during that incident were reportedly recovered.
Waltman had been wanted by Milford PD on two active warrants, as well as a capias from the Kent County Court of Common Pleas. During the investigation, Police say Waltman confessed to multiple burglaries within the city, over a three week period, and handed over property from other incidents.
He was charged with 2 counts of burglary to a dwelling, 8 counts of burglary to a building, 7 counts of theft under $1,500, 2 counts of theft over $1,500, 6 counts of criminal mischief, 4 counts of conspiracy in a felony, and 1 count each of possession a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, theft of false pretense, possession of burglary tools, and selling stolen items. He is now being held at Sussex Correction Institution in default of $55,500 secured bond.
Milford Police say they are continuing to look for an accomplice that worked with Waltman during the burglaries.
