Milford takes down Delmar

The Delmar Wildcats were looking to keep their three game undefeated season alive, but the Milford Buccaneers arrived at Delmar high school on Thursday night with other plans. Delmar led at half, but it was the Buccaneers that stole the show winning the game 60-53.

Delmar entered the game with a 3-0 record and had beaten its opponents by ten or more points in each of their three games. At half, the Wildcats led the game 25-20 – Larry Ennis scored 18 of those 25 points and he finished the game with 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. The Wildcats finished the first half with the momentum to win their fourth-straight game and remain undefeated, but it was not enough to stop the Buccaneers.

Milford took an early lead in the game before going down at half time, but they came back to win the game and break up Delmar’s unbeaten streak and undefeated season. Derin Kravitz (20 pts) and Son Martinez (15 pts) helped lead their team to a victory.

Up next, Milford (2-2)  travels away to play Appoquinimink on Saturday, December 20, at 1:00 pm.

Delmar will be on a break until the Governors Tournament taking place on December 26.
