Laurel Boys Basketball Coast Past Salisbury Christian

The Laurel boys basketball team remained undefeated on the season after they defeated Salisbury Christian 75-26 Tuesday night. The win improves the Bulldogs to 2-0.

Laurel would jump out to a big lead in this one, led by Chucky August and Gary Warren. They would take a 20-12 lead after the first, only to watch it grow to 40-16 by half time. There the Bulldogs would let some of their reserves gain valuable experience and court time as they prepare for a a few big games in the upcoming weeks. August would lead all scorers finishing with 18 points, while Warren would finish with 16.

To their credit, the Jaguars never gave in and the highlight of the night may have belonged to them. Joey Choquette would come up with a steal, lead a fast break before going behind his back to avoid a defender, and finish with the finger roll.

Laurel returns to action tomorrow when they take on Woodbridge.
