Lady Wolverines Drop A Close One At Home

Dover, DE- Wesley College women's basketball team dropped a close game to conference rival Marymount (VA.) 54-53 on Wednesday night in their home Wentworth Gymnasium.

Wesley used a furious rally down 11 to cut the Saints lead to just one with the ball, before turning the ball over to all but ensure the loss. Leading the charge for the Wolverines was Brionna Johnson. The freshman finished with her sixth-straight double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Alexis Stroud came off the bench to score 13 points, including three triples.

Five Saints scored in double figures and held a +14 advantage on the boards. The Wolverines now stand at 4-3 overall (1-1, CAC) while the Saints moved to 5-1 on the year, 2-0 in the conference. The Wolverines travel to Southern Virginia at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th.
