Jags Drop Bracket IV Title To Bowie

After squaring away Baltimore City 4A squad Mervo, Washington could not take down Prince George’s County 4A Bowie, falling 70-59 in the Governor’s Challenge Bracket IV final.

Quinton Drayton paced Bowie with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Anthony Barnes Jr. gave the Jags trouble inside, producing 14 points, and 8 rebounds. For Washington, Shakur Cottman had 16 points and 11 rebounds, before being ejected for a scuffle with Bowie forward Jalen Armstrong.

The Jaguars were clearly outsized in the matchup, and were outrebounded 44-31, and gave up 15 offensive rebounds and 54 points in the paint. DeShawn Parks scored 7 points and pulled down 11 rebounds inside for Washington.
