Harrington man found dead in home

A Harrington teen has been arrested after suspicions that he may be connected with the death of his father.

The 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at his Park Brown Road home, when Harrington Police officers and Delaware State Troopers responded for a checkup of his well-being.

Co-workers of the man reportedly became worried when he failed to show up for work for consecutive days.

Upon the arrival of the authorities, they say the man’s 17-year-old son claimed he may have killed his father.

Kent County paramedics apparently found the man deceased in his bedroom from an undetermined wound to his upper torso.

The son was transported to Troop 3 and was charged with murder 1st and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He is being held in the Stevenson Detention House in Milford, without bail.

Police say no motive has been established.
