Drainage detour on Isabella Street in Salisbury to start January 5th

An on-going road project in Salisbury will create a detour for drivers.

The Maryland State Highway Administration says starting on Monday, January 5th, there will be a three week 24-hours-a-day vehicle detour along Isabella Street.

During the closure, crews will be working to improve drainage in Newtown, by upgrading pipes and installing ADA compliant sidewalks at N. Division Street and William Street.

SHA is reminding drivers to stay alert in work zones, and look for reduced speed limits.
