Dover Police Search For Suspects In Two Armed Robberies In Week

DOVER, Del. - Dover Police are looking for answers after the second armed robbery at a convenience store in the same week.

Investigators are searching suspects in an armed robbery on Saturday, December 6th at 8:00 PM. Reports say a male suspect entered the Stop-N-Shop located at the 1100 block of White Oak Road and held the clerk at knife point, demanding money. Dover Police then say the clerk obeyed the suspect and handed over an undisclosed amount of money, which then the suspect took and fled the scene.

Police reports describe the suspect as a heavyset male 6'00″ tall, wearing a black Under Armour jacket, with black pants, shoes, and gloves. Also to hide his identity the suspect apparently wore a white plastic grocery bag over his head.

Detectives believe this robbery and the robbery at a Valero gas station on North DuPont Highway on December 3rd maybe related incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7111.
