Dover PD Investigating If The Rat Burglar Struck Again

A serial burglar is still at large in Dover. Now, investigators believe two recent break-ins could also be the work of the suspect known as the “Rat Burglar”.

In the past 5 days, Dover Police tell 47 ABC the burglar hit two businesses. Vincenzo’s Italian Restaurant in the Gateway West Shopping Center and the Pizza Time restaurant on State Street. The restaurants are just a few miles apart and, in both cases, the suspect broke in while the businesses were closed and reportedly got away with money.

The alleged “rat burglar” has been connected to 7 burglaries earlier this year. In those cases, police say the suspect broke into the businesses by crawling through holes cut in the walls.  In these two recent cases detectives still aren’t saying how the thief gained entry.
