Delaware Borrowers To Get Payment From Servicer

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) – Delaware borrowers will soon start receiving payments at part of a settlement with a mortgage servicer over alleged foreclosure abuses.
    
Attorney General Beau Biden said Monday that consumers who are eligible for a direct payment as part of the $7 million settlement with Ocwen Financial should be getting their checks. The money will be paid to borrowers who lost their homes to foreclosure between Jan. 1, 2009 and Dec. 31, 2013.
    
Biden says more than 200 residents will receive checks of about $1,200.
    
Delaware and 48 other states reached a settlement last year with Ocwen to resolve allegations that the company's misconduct contributed to the housing crisis.
